Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Pension Liberation) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 27th April 2005.

In these Regulations—

  • “the 1993 Act” means the Pension Schemes Act 1993 F1; and

  • “the 2004 Act” means the Pensions Act 2004.

In these Regulations, unless otherwise specified, any reference to a numbered section is a reference to the section bearing that number in the 1993 Act.
