This Order is the sixth commencement order under the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 (“the Act”).
Article 2(1)(a) brings into force on 1st April 2005 section 190 of the Act (abolition of the Public Health Laboratory Service Board) and Schedule 13 (amendments consequential on the abolition of the Public Health Laboratory Service Board) to the Act. Article 2(1)(b) brings into force on that date section 196 to the Act, in order to effect the repeals and revocations relating to the Public Health Laboratory Service Board set out in Part 7 of Schedule 14 (repeals and revocations) to the Act.
Article 2(1)(c) brings into force section 85 (criteria) for all remaining purposes.
