12. Notwithstanding section 37(5) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004(1) (interpretation), the Authority shall become the local planning authority for the area of the New Forest National Park for the purposes of Part 2 of that Act (local development) on the operational date, and until that date section 37(4) of that Act shall continue to apply in respect of the area of that National Park.
