This Order designates any sports ground and classes of sporting events taking place at those grounds or outside England and Wales for the purposes of the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985. The Act does not, by virtue of section 9(6), apply to any sporting event in which all competitors are to take part otherwise than for reward and to which all spectators are to be admitted free of charge. This Order comes into force on 14^th December 2005.
