This Order, which applies in England only, amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32) and revokes the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (England) Order 2004 (S.I. 2004/2891). It comes into force on 8th August 2005.
The Order substitutes for Schedules 1 and 2 to the 1978 Order the Schedules 1 and 2 set out in this Order. Schedule 1 lists disinfectants approved by the Secretary of State and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which, although no longer approved, may continue to be used as approved disinfectants until 31st October 2005.
This Order was notified in draft to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 98/34/EC, as amended by Directive 98/48/EC.
A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the costs of business.
