The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 28(4)(f) and (6) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000(1), after consultation with the Electoral Commission in accordance with subsection (4)(f) of that section, hereby makes the following Order:—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Political Parties (Prohibited Words and Expressions) (Amendment) Order 2005.
(2) The Order shall come into force on 19th February 2005.
2.—(1) The Registration of Political Parties (Prohibited Words and Expressions) Order 2001(2) is amended as follows.
(2) After article 2(2)(d), insert a new subparagraph (e)—
“(e)Part V of the Schedule, if the words are used otherwise than as part of an expression prohibited in that Part”.
(3) At the end of Part IV of the Schedule to that Order, insert a new Part V—
None of the above.”

This Order amends the Registration of Political Parties (Prohibited Words and Expressions) Order 2001. The expression “None of the above” may not be included in the name of a political party.
S.I. 2001/82. Part II of the Schedule was modified for the purposes of European Parliamentary elections by S.I. 2004/366, article 5(2)(c).
