The Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Act 2004 (Consequential Modifications) Order 2004
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 104, 112 (1) and 113 of that Act and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Act 2004 (Consequential Modifications) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st April 2004.
Modifications2.
The modifications in the Schedule to this Order have effect.

This Order makes provision consequential on the Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Act 2004 (“the 2004 Act”).
The 2004 Act amends the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 to provide for primary medical services. Article 2 of the Order provides for the modifications of the enactments specified in the Schedule to the Order in consequence of the 2004 Act.
The effect of the modifications is to provide for references to the new Scottish primary medical services regime and to remove references to the previous regime.
