The Local Authorities (Goods and Services)(Public Bodies)(England) Order 2004
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies)(England) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 23rd March 2004.
Designation as a public body2.
Restrictions on agreements – Pyramid Schools (Cornwall) Limited3.
Agreements which may be entered into by Pyramid Schools (Cornwall) Limited, by virtue of this Order, shall be subject to the following restrictions—
(a)
that any such agreements are for the provision of catering services to it by Cornwall County Council; and
(b)
that any such agreements are made in connection with the provision of services in the area of Cornwall County Council.
Restrictions on agreements – Haden Building Management Limited4.
Agreements which may be entered into by Haden Building Management Limited, by virtue of this Order, shall be subject to the following restrictions—
(a)
that any such agreements are for the supply of cleaning, catering, waste, hygiene, and pest and rodent control services to it by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council; and
(b)
that any such services are made in connection with the provision of services in the area of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.

Article 2 of this Order designates each of the bodies listed as a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 (“the 1970 Act”).
The effect of the designation is to allow each of the local authorities concerned to provide goods and services listed by way of an agreement for any purpose prescribed by section 1(1) of the 1970 Act.
Articles 3 and 4 impose restrictions on the agreements that can be made by each of the bodies by virtue of this Order.
