Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 8th December 2004.

In the Table in regulation 13, in column (3), for “£62”, in each place where it occurs, substitute “£70”.

These Regulations amend the Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) Regulations 1989 by increasing some of the fees payable under those Regulations.
The fees payable in respect of the driving ability and fitness test and the instructional ability and fitness test are increased to £70, an increase of 12.9%. This is the first increase in these fees since 1st April 1997.
These Regulations are made in conjunction with the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) (No.3) Regulations 2004.
