This Order is the fourth commencement order under the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 (“the 2003 Act”).

Article 2 commences on 19th October 2004 sections 187 and 188 of, and Schedule 12 to, the 2003 Act: these provisions relate to the delegation of appointments functions by the Secretary of State and the Privy Council in relation to bodies that have functions concerning health, social care or the regulation of professions associated with health or social care.
