TRIBUNALS AND INQUIRIES, ENGLAND AND WALES

These Rules prescribe the procedure to be followed in connection with public local inquiries held under the section 11 of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the 1992 Act”). These relate to applications for orders under Part I of the 1992 Act authorising —the construction or operation of railways, tramways, trolley vehicle systems and other systems of guided transport (as prescribed under section 2 of the 1992 Act) and matters ancillary thereto;the construction and operation of inland waterways and matters ancillary thereto;the carrying out of certain works which interfere with navigation and have been prescribed pursuant to section 4 of the 1992 Act.
