Offices3
1
Section 1 of the Act shall apply to the following offices with effect from the dates specified below—
a
the Scottish Information Commissioner, with effect from 24th February 2003;
b
the Local Commissioner for Wales, with effect from 1st October 2003;
c
the Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Commission, with effect from 1st February 2003;
d
the Deputy Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Commission, with effect from 1st February 2003;
e
the Commissioners of the Independent Police Complaints Commission, with effect from 1st February 2003;
f
the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, with effect from 1st August 2003;
g
the Commissioner for Children and Young People in Scotland, with effect from 26th April 2004; and
h
the Chief Investigating Officer of the Standards Commission for Scotland, with effect from 17th January 2002.

Accordingly, Schedule 1 to the Act is amended by inserting at the appropriate places in the list of “Offices”, the entries—
“the Scottish Information Commissioner”
“the Local Commissioner for Wales”
“the Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Commission”
“the Deputy Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Commission”
“the Commissioners of the Independent Police Complaints Commission”
“the Children’s Commissioner for Wales”
“the Commissioner for Children and Young People in Scotland”
“the Chief Investigating Officer of the Standards Commission for Scotland”.
