The Education Act 2002 (School Meals) (Consequential Amendments) (England) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 214 of the Education Act 20021 the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Education Act 2002 (School Meals) (Consequential Amendments) (England) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 11th April 2003.

Amendment of the Education (Transfer of Functions Concerning School Lunches etc) (England) (No. 2) Order 19992.

The Education (Transfer of Functions Concerning School Lunches etc) (England) (No. 2) Order 19992 is amended as follows –

(a)

in article 2(2)(a), for “section 512(1A) and (1B)” there is substituted “section 512(3) and (4)”;

(b)

in article 2(2)(b), for “section 512(3)” there is substituted “section 512ZB(1)”;

(c)

article 2(3) is revoked;

(d)

in article 3(1), for “section 512(3)(b)” there is substituted “section 512ZB(3)”; and

(e)

in article 4(1) and (2), for “section 512(2)(b)” there is substituted “section 512ZA(2)”.

Amendment of the Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 20013.

In paragraph 6 of Part 1 of the Schedule to the Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 20013, for “section 512(3) and (3A)” there is substituted “sections 512(3) and 512ZB”.

These Regulations make consequential amendments in connection with the bringing into force on 6th April 2003 of section 201 of the Education Act 2002, concerning the provision of school meals.

Regulation 2 makes amendments to the Education (Transfer of Functions Concerning School Lunches etc) (England) (No. 2) Order 1999.

Regulation 3 makes amendments to the Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 2001.
