These Regulations further amend the Rules of the Air Regulations 1996.
Table II of Rule 30 is amended to permit flight at levels which provide a reduced vertical separation to reflect the introduction of Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) airspace throughout Europe. In this airspace a vertical separation of 1,000 feet is permitted for opposite direction traffic between FL 290 (29,000 feet) and FL 410 (41,000 feet) (inclusive) where the operator and the aircraft is approved to fly in such airspace.
