Interpretation

2.  In this Scheme—

“agricultural business” means an agricultural business which is at least partly carried out on land situated in a nitrate vulnerable zone;

“slurry” has the same meaning as in Regulation 2 of the Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations 1991(1);

“nitrate vulnerable zone” means any area designated as a nitrate vulnerable zone by—

(a)

regulation 3(1) of the Protection of Water against Agricultural Nitrate Pollution (England and Wales) Regulations 1996(2); or

(b)

regulation 3(1) of the Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (Additional Designation) (England) (No. 2) Regulations 2002(3).
