The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 20(2)(b) and (c), 20(9) and (10) and 38(5) to (7) of the National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health (Functions) Amendment Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 28th March 2003.
(2) These Regulations apply to England only.
(3) In these Regulations—
“the principal Regulations” means the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health (Functions) Regulations 2002(2).
2. In regulation 4 of the principal Regulations, in paragraph (d), after “Commissioner” insert “for England”.
3. In regulation 5 of the principal Regulations, in paragraph (d), for “Commissioners” substitute “Commissioner for England”.
4. In regulation 8 of the principal Regulations, in paragraph (1), for “regulation 8” substitute “regulation 9”.
5. In regulation 9 of the principal Regulations, in paragraph (1), for “regulation 7(1)” substitute “regulation 8(1)”.

These Regulations amend The Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health (Functions) Regulations 2002 to correct errors in regulations 4(d), 5(d), 8(1) and 9(1) of those Regulations.
