Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(3) of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 19941 and by virtue of the Department for Transport (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration Fees) Order 20032 hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) (No. 5) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st January 2004.

Amendment2

In Regulation 10(1) of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 20023 for “£25” there shall be substituted “£38”.

These Regulations raise the fee payable on applications for the registration of a mechanically propelled vehicle from £25 to £38 with effect from 1st January 2004.
