The Fireworks Act 2003 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2003

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 18(1) of the Fireworks Act 20031 hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation1

This Order may be cited as the Fireworks Act 2003 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2003.

In this Order “the Act” means the Fireworks Act 2003.

Provisions of the Act commenced by this Order2

28th November 2003 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the provisions of the Fireworks Act 2003 listed in the first column of the Schedule to this Order for the purposes set out in the second column.

Section 12 (enforcement)	For the purposes of fireworks regulations made in exercise of powers conferred by the provisions of the Act brought into force by this Order
Section 13 (savings for certain privileges)	For the purposes of fireworks regulations made in exercise of powers conferred by the provisions of the Act brought into force by this Order

This Order brings into force on 28th November 2003 sections 1, 2, 3 and 5 of the Fireworks Act 2003 and (for the purposes of fireworks regulations made in exercise of powers conferred by the provisions of the Act brought into force by this Order) sections 11, 12, 13 and 16 of that Act.
