The Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Amendment (No.2) Regulations 2003
Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Amendment (No.2) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 28th November 2003.
Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Regulations 19882.
(a)
for “Craibstone” substitute “Dyce (Aberdeen Airport)”; and
(b)
for “Woodford” substitute “Ringway (Manchester Airport)”.
Signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
These Regulations amend the Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Regulations 1988 (S.I. 1988/1724) (“the principal Regulations”) in relation to the list of weather stations and applicable postcode districts in Schedule 1 to those Regulations.
Regulation 2 amends Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations by substituting Dyce (Aberdeen Airport) for Craibstone weather station and Ringway (Manchester Airport) for Woodford weather station as Craibstone and Woodford weather stations are unable to provide the temperature data required. As these Regulations are made in consequence of a defect in the Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Amendment Regulations 2003 (S.I. 2003/2605) they will be issued free of charge to all known recipients of those Regulations.
