Coming into force in accordance with article 1

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1(1) and (2) and 24(1) and (3) of the Food and Environment Protection Act 19851, no longer being of the opinion that there exist or may exist circumstances which are likely to create a hazard to human health through human consumption of food as specified in the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Scallops) (England) Order 20032, makes the following Order:

Title and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Scallops) (England) (Revocation) Order 2003 and shall come into force at 14.25 hours on 22nd August 2003.

Revocation2

The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Scallops) (England) Order 20032 is revoked.

This Order revokes the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Scallops) (England) Order 2003 which contains emergency prohibitions restricting various activities in order to prevent human consumption of scallops originating in an area designated in that Order and food derived from such scallops (article 2).

No Regulatory Impact Assessment has been prepared in respect of this Order.
