The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2003

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 275(1) of the Transport Act 20001 hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation1

This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2003.

Provision coming into force on 29th July 20032

Section 228 of the Transport Act 2000 shall come into force on 29th July 2003.

This Order brings into force on 29th July 2003 section 228 of the Transport Act 2000 which provides for the amendment of certain provisions of sections 76 and 77 of the Railways Act 1993, which set out the general duties of the Rail Passengers’ Council and the Rail Passengers’ Committees respectively.
