Fisheries and Food, being satisfied that it is expedient to apply section 42(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00001" marker="1"><p><ref eId="c00001" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1981/69">c. 69</ref>.</p></authorialNote> to the land hereafter mentioned which is comprised in a National Park and which appears to them to consist of or include moor or heath, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 42 and 52(1)<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00002" marker="2"><p><i>See</i> definition of “the Ministers”.</p></authorialNote> of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, hereby make the following Order:</p></formula></preamble><body><article eId="article-1"><num>1.</num><paragraph eId="article-1-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>This Order may be cited as the Peak District National Park Authority (Restriction of Agricultural Operations) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 18th January 2002.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="article-1-2"><num>(2)</num><intro><p>In this Order:—</p></intro><hcontainer name="definition"><content><p>“<abbr title="Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 c. 69">the Act</abbr>” means the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981; and</p></content></hcontainer><hcontainer name="definition"><content><p>“the maps” means the maps numbered 1 to 5 titled “Map referred to in the Peak District National Park Authority (Restriction of Agricultural Operations) Order 2002”, of which prints signed on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs are deposited and available for inspection at the offices of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Peak District National Park Authority.</p></content></hcontainer></paragraph></article><article eId="article-2"><num>2.</num><content><p>Section 42(2) of <abbr title="Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 c. 69">the Act</abbr> (restriction of agricultural operations) shall apply to the land situated within the Peak District National Park and shown hatched on the maps.</p></content></article><article eId="article-3"><num>3.</num><content><p>The operations listed in the Schedule hereto are specified pursuant to section 42(2)(b) of <abbr title="Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 c. 69">the Act</abbr> as agricultural operations which appear to the Secretary of State and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to be likely to affect the character or appearance of the said class="schProv1"><num>1.</num><content><p>Mowing, cutting or removing vegetation.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="schedule-paragraph-2" class="schProv1"><num>2.</num><content><p>Levelling or bulldozing.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="schedule-paragraph-3" class="schProv1"><num>3.</num><content><p>Modification of natural or man-made features and clearance of boulders, large stones, loose rock or scree.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="schedule-paragraph-4" class="schProv1"><num>4.</num><content><p>Cultivating including planting.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="schedule-paragraph-5" class="schProv1"><num>5.</num><content><p>Draining.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="schedule-paragraph-6"
