The Gaming (Bingo) Act (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2002

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by paragraph 5(1) of the Schedule to the Gaming (Bingo) Act 19851 hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Gaming (Bingo) Act (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

(2)

This Order extends to England and Wales and Scotland.

In article 2 of the Gaming (Bingo) Act (Fees) Order 19862—

(a)

in paragraph (a), for “£150,168” there shall be substituted “£167,000”; and

(b)

in paragraph (b), for “£144,576” there shall be substituted “£160,000”.

The Gaming (Bingo) Act (Fees) (Amendment) Order 20013 is hereby revoked.

This Order amends article 2(a) of the Gaming (Bingo) Act (Fees) Order 1986 so as to increase from £150,168 to £167,000 the fee payable to the Gaming Board for Great Britain for the issue of a certificate issued by the Board to an organiser of games of multiple bingo under the Schedule to the Gaming (Bingo) Act 1985. This Order also amends article 2(b) of the 1986 Order so as to increase from £144,576 to £160,000 the fee payable to the Gaming Board for Great Britain for the continuing in force, for a period of three years, of such a certificate.
