<Text>This Order may be cited as the Awards for All (England) Joint Scheme (Authorisation) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.</Text>

<Title>Authorisation of joint scheme</Title>

<Text>The Secretary of State hereby authorises the Awards For All (England) joint scheme which is contained in the agreement entered into on 6th March 2002 between the National Heritage Memorial Fund (which is also known as “the Heritage Lottery Fund”), the National Lottery Charities Board (which is also known as “the Community Fund”), the New Opportunities Fund, the English Sports Council (which is also known as “Sport England”) and the Arts Council of England.</Text>

<Text>The joint scheme provides for the making of grants of not less than £500 and not more than £5,000 to local community groups to support activities—</Text>

<Text>The joint scheme applies in England only.</Text>
</P1para>

<Text>The maximum amount of money that may be distributed under section 25(1) of the 1993 Act in any year under the joint scheme is £75 million.</Text>
</P1para>
</P1>

<Text>The money to be distributed under section 25(1) of the 1993 Act under the joint scheme is attributable to each of the participating bodies in the following proportions, that is to say—</Text>

<Text>as to the Heritage Lottery Fund, 10.0 per cent;</Text>
