Amendment of principal Regulations 2 In regulation 5 of the principal Regulations (persons who may perform personal medical services), in paragraph (2)— a omit “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (a); b after sub-paragraph (b) add— c a person who has an acquired right to practise as a general medical practitioner under regulation 5(1)(d) of the Vocational Training for General Medical Practice (European Requirements) Regulations 1994. . These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Pilot Schemes: Miscellaneous Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Regulations 1998.

Regulation 2 adds a further category to those persons who may perform personal medical services even though they are not suitably experienced within the meaning of sections 31(2) and 32 of the National Health Service Act 1977.
