These Regulations make a minor amendment to correct a typographical error in paragraph 1 in Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations and provide for a further increase in the fees in respect of services provided by the Department of Trade and Industry in relation to the type approval and testing of measuring instruments. The hourly rate (as specified in paragraph 1(a) respectively in Schedules 2, 3, 5 and 6 to the principal Regulations) for those services is increased from £70.00 to £77.00 (an increase of £7.00) and is the second increase since 1st June 1998 (when the principal Regulations came into force);
