The Retained Organs Commission (Amendment) Regulations 2002

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 11(4) and 126(4) of, and paragraph 12 of Schedule 5 to, the National Health Service Act 19771, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and extent1.

(1)

These Regulations may be cited as the Retained Organs Commission (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st February 2002.

(2)

These Regulations extend to England only.

Amendment of Regulations2.

In regulation 3 of the Retained Organs Commission Regulations 20012 (disqualification for appointment) sub-paragraph (g) of paragraph (1) is deleted.

These Regulations amend regulation 3 of the Retained Organs Commission Regulations 2000 to remove the disqualification of the chairmen and members of primary care trusts from serving as the chairman or a non-officer member of the Retained Organs Commission.
