The following provisions of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 shall come into force on 1st January 2003—
(a)
section 78(1), (3), (4), (5), (6), (8) and (9) (taking fingerprints);
(b)
section 80(3), (5) and (6) (samples);
(c)
section 137 (repeals) in so far as it relates to the entry Criminal Justice Act 19482 in Schedule 7, Part 2; and
(d)
the entry Criminal Justice Act 1948 in Schedule 7, Part 2.
