Coming into force
The First Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 143(1) and (2) of, and paragraphs 4 and 6 of Schedule 8 to, the Local Government Finance Act 19881 and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 31st December 2002.
Amendment of the 1992 Regulations2
Schedules 1 and 2 to the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) Regulations 19922 are amended as follows in relation to financial years beginning on or after 1st April 2003.
Rules for the calculation of non-domestic rating contributions3
In Schedule 1—

in paragraph 1(4), for “2002” there is substituted “2003”;

It shall be assumed that the amount calculated for the authority in accordance with the assumptions prescribed in sub-paragraphs (1) to (11) above is the total of the amount so calculated multiplied by 0.961.
