The Secretary of State for Health, being the Minister designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to the National Health Service, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said section 2(2) hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and extent1.

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service Act 1977 and National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (Amendment) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 28th November 2002.

These Regulations extend to England and Wales only.

Amendment of the National Health Service Act 1977 and National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (Amendment) Regulations 20022.

In regulation 2 of the National Health Service Act 1977 and National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (Amendment) Regulations 20023 for “1997” there is substituted “1977”.

These Regulations (which apply to England and Wales) amend the National Health Service Act 1977 and National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (Amendment) Regulations 2002 in order to correct an error in regulation 2 by substituting the correct year for the National Health Service Act 1977.
