The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to the legal protection of biotechnological inventions, in exercise of powers conferred on her by the said section 2(2), and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals pursuant to section 8(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 19923, hereby makes the following Regulations4:
