The National Health Service (Clinical Negligence Scheme) Regulations 1996106 are amended as follows.

In regulation 1 (citation, commencement and interpretation), in paragraph (2), in the definition of “an eligible body” there is added at the end “or a body which before 1 October 2002 was a Health Authority whose area was situated in England”.

In regulation 3 (eligible bodies), in paragraph (1), for sub-paragraph (b) there is substituted—
