Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 19801 and now vested in him2, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:

(1)

This Order may be cited as the A595 Trunk Road (Lillyhall to A66 Chapel Brow) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2003.

(2)

In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

2.

The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road from the date when this Order comes into force.

3.

The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered HA 10/OD/341, marked “The A595 Trunk Road (Lillyhall to A66 Chapel Brow) Order 2002”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the DTLR Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD) Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

THE SCHEDULELENGTH OF HIGHWAY BECOMING A TRUNK ROAD

The length of highway becoming a trunk road is:

(1)

The A595 from its junction with A596 at Lillyhall in the County of Cumbria to its junction with A66 at Chapel Brow, a distance of 5.7 kilometres.
