The M60 Motorway (Junction 25) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2002

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17(2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 134(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as The M60 Motorway (Junction 25) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 21st October 2002.

Imposition of speed limit2.

(1)

No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on the restricted length of the motorway.

(2)

“the restricted length of the motorway” means the clockwise carriageway of the M60 motorway between Marker Post 52.3 and Marker Post 53.5, a total distance of 1.2 kilometres.

These Regulations impose a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the clockwise carriageway of the M60 between Marker Posts 52.3 and 53.5.
