<Text>Whereas the Boundary Committee for England<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/>, acting pursuant to section 15(4) of the Local Government Act 1992<FootnoteRef Ref="f00002"/>, has submitted to the Electoral Commission<FootnoteRef Ref="f00003"/> a report dated April 2002 on its review of the district of North Dorset together with its recommendations:</Text>

<Text>And whereas the Electoral Commission have decided to give effect to those recommendations:</Text>
</P>

<Text>And whereas a period of not less than six weeks has expired since the receipt of those recommendations:</Text>

<Text>Now, therefore, the Electoral Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 17<FootnoteRef Ref="f00004"/> and 26<FootnoteRef Ref="f00005"/> of the Local Government Act 1992, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:</Text>

<Text>The Boundary Committee for England is a committee of the Electoral Commission, established by the Electoral Commission in accordance with section 14 of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/2000/41" id="c00002" Class="UnitedKingdomPublicGeneralAct" Year="2000" Number="0041">2000 (c. 41)</Citation>. The Local Government Commission for England (Transfer of Functions) Order 2001 (<Acronym Expansion="Statutory Instrument">S.I.</Acronym> <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2001/3962" id="c00003" Class="UnitedKingdomStatutoryInstrument" Year="2001" Number="3962">2001/3962</Citation>) transferred to the Electoral Commission the functions of the Local Government Commission for England.</Text>
