Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order applies to the whole of the Borough of Colchester with the exception of the following roads:
(a)the A12 road for the whole of its length within the Borough of Colchester;
(b)the A133 road from its junction with the A12 road to its junction with the road known as Cymbeline Way;
(c)the A1124 from its junction with the B1408 road, known as London Road, to its junction with the road known as Abbots Lane; and
(d)the A120 road for the whole of its length within the Borough of Colchester.
The Order designates the Borough of Colchester as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also applies with modifications various provisions of Part II of that Act to the designated area and modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area.
