The Greenwich-Time to Succeed Education Action Zone (Extension) Order 2002

Whereas an application for the purpose of extending an Education Action Zone has been made to the Secretary of State with the consent of the governing bodies of every school participating in the zone.

Now therefore, in exercise of the power conferred on the Secretary of State by section 10(2) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1.

This Order shall be cited as the Greenwich-Time to Succeed Education Action Zone (Extension) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 6th September 2002.

Interpretation2.

In this Order—

“Greenwich-Time to Succeed Education Action Zone” means the Education Action Zone established by the Greenwich-Time to Succeed Education Action Zone Order 19991.

Extension of the Greenwich-Time to Succeed Education Action Zone3.

The Greenwich-Time to Succeed Education Action Zone is extended for a further period of two years beginning with 6th September 2002.
