The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred upon him by section 1(7) and (8)(b) of the Derelict Land Act 19821 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and with the consent of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Derelict Land Clearance Area (Combe Down Stone Mines, Bath) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 30th August 2002.
Derelict land clearance area2

Subsections (1) to (6) of section 1 of the Derelict Land Act 1982 shall have effect in relation to land in the locality shown bounded by the outside edge of a bold black line on the map as they have effect in relation to land in a development or intermediate area.

In paragraph (1), “the map” means the map marked “Map referred to in the Derelict Land Clearance Area (Combe Down Stone Mines, Bath) Order 2002” and signed by authority of the Secretary of State, which has been prepared in duplicate and of which one duplicate has been deposited, and is available for inspection, at the offices of the Bath and North East Somerset Council and the other has been deposited, and is available for inspection, at the offices of the Secretary of State.
