The United Nations and International Court of Justice (Immunities and Privileges) (Amendment) Order 2002

This Order may be cited as the United Nations and International Court of Justice (Immunities and Privileges) (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

“8A.
The United Nations shall have relief, under arrangements made by the Secretary of State, by way of refund of insurance premium tax and air passenger duty paid by the Organization in the exercise of its official activities.”.
This Order confers relief by way of refund from payment of insurance premium tax and air passenger duty on the United Nations, including the International Court of Justice. The Order enables the United Kingdom to give effect to an Agreement between Her Majesty’s Government and the United Nations (Cm. 5475).
