The Treasury, being a government department designatedM1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972M2 in relation to information society services, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section, and the powers conferred by sections 349(1), 414 and 428(3) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000M3, hereby make the following Regulations:
