The Animal Gatherings (Interim Measures) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2002
Title, commencement and extent1.
This Order may be cited as the Animal Gatherings (Interim Measures) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2002; it extends to England only and shall come into force on 31st July 2002.

In article 2—
(a)
““animals” means cattle (excluding bison and yak), deer, goats, sheep and swine;”; and
(b)
““equipment” shall include pens and hurdles.”.

In the Schedule–
(a)
in paragraphs 1 and 2, in each place where the words “28 days” occur, there shall be substituted the words “27 days”; and
(b)
in paragraphs 1 and 4, the words “pens, hurdles and any other” shall be deleted.
This Order amends the Animal Gatherings (Interim Measures) (England) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/202 as amended by S.I. 2002/1328).
The Order—
Restricts the categories of animals to which the Order applies so as to include only cattle (excluding bison and yak),deer, goats, sheep and swine.
Defines the terms “equipment” for the purposes of the Order and amends the references to “pens, hurdles and other equipment” accordingly.
Reduces the 28 day restricted periods to 27 days.
A regulatory impact assessment has not been prepared for this Order.
