The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and section 45(5) of the Health and Social Care Act 20013 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Camden and Islington Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

In this Order “the principal Order” means the Camden and Islington Mental Health National Health Service Trust Order 20014.

Amendment of article 2 of the principal Order2.

In article 2 of the principal Order there shall be substituted for the words “Camden and Islington Mental Health National Health Service Trust” the words “Camden and Islington Mental Health and Social Care Trust”.

Amendment of article 4 of the principal Order3.

In article 4 of the principal Order for “5” on both occasions it appears, there shall be substituted “7”.

This Order amends the Camden and Islington Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2001 (“the principal Order”).

The principal Order is amended to change the name of the Trust to the Camden and Islington Mental Health and Social Care Trust on its designation as a Care Trust as provided for in section 45 of the Health and Social Care Act 2001 (article 2). The Order also increases the number of both executive and non-executive directors from 5 to 7 (article 3).
