The Office of Communications Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2002

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on her by section 7(2) of the Office of Communications Act 20021, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Office of Communications Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2002.

The following provisions of the Office of Communications Act 2002 shall come into force on 1st July 2002:

  • section 1, except for subsections (7) and (8);

  • sections 2 and 3;

  • the Schedule, except for paragraph 12.

This Order brings into force on 1st July 2002 all the provisions of the Office of Communications Act 2002 not yet in force, except for section 1(7) and (8) and paragraph 12 of the Schedule. Sections 4 to 7 came into force on Royal Assent.
