Amendment of the Railways and Other Transport Systems (Approval of Works, Plant and Equipment) Regulations 199436

In regulation 4 of the Railways and Other Transport Systems (Approval of Works, Plant and Equipment) Regulations 199420—

after paragraph (2) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—

2A
Approval shall not be required in relation to any interoperability constituent or any subsystem to the extent that the interoperability constituent or subsystem, as the case may be, is subject to the requirements of regulations 11 to 17 of the Railways (Interoperability) (High-Speed) Regulations 2002.

after paragraph (4) there shall be added the following paragraph—

In this regulation, “interoperability constituent” and “subsystem” shall have the same meanings as they have in the Railways (Interoperability) (High-Speed) Regulations 2002.
