The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 16A(1), (2) and (3) and 126(3) and (4) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, following compliance with the consultation requirements contained in regulations made under section 16A(5) of the Act2, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement and interpretation1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Burntwood, Lichfield and Tamworth Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

(2)

In this Order—

the Order” means the Burntwood, Lichfield and Tamworth Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Order3; and

the trust” means the trust established by the Order.

Amendment of the Schedule to the Primary Care Trust Establishment Order2.

(1)

The Schedule to the Order shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraphs.

(2)

In the entry for the Borough of Burntwood and Lichfield, there shall be inserted after “Leomansley”, “Little Aston”; and after “Shenstone”, “Stonnall”.

(3)

In the entry for the Borough of Burntwood and Lichfield the entry for “Kings Bromley” shall be deleted.

(4)

In the entry for the Borough of Tamworth for “Fazelely” there shall be substituted, “Fazeley”.

This Order amends the establishment order of the Burntwood, Lichfield and Tamworth Primary Care Trust (“the trust”), a Primary Care Trust established by Order under section 16A of the National Health Service Act 1977 by making changes to the area in which the trust is to undertake its functions.
