Whereas the Secretary of State, in pursuance of section 60A(1)(a) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, issued a code of practice for the visual recording of interviews held by police officers at police stations;

And whereas the Secretary of State, in pursuance of section 67(4) of that Act, by order brought that code into operation on 7th May 2002;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 60A(1)(b) and (2) of that Act, the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order: 1984 c. 60; section 60A was inserted by section 76 of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (c. 16). S.I. 2002/1266.
