The City and Hackney Community Services, the Newham Community Health Services and the Tower Hamlets Healthcare National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2001

Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order3, and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act4, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the City and Hackney Community Services, the Newham Community Health Services and the Tower Hamlets Healthcare National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.

Dissolution of NHS trusts2.

(1)

The City and Hackney Community Services National Health Service Trust established by the City and Hackney Community Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19955 is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

(2)

The Newham Community Health Services National Health Service Trust established by the Newham Community Health Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19956 is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

(3)

The Tower Hamlets Healthcare National Health Service Trust established by the Tower Hamlets Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19957 is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

  • the City and Hackney Community Services National Health Service Trust;

  • the Newham Community Health Services National Health Service Trust; and
