The Professions Supplementary to Medicine (Registration Rules) (Amendment) Order of Council 2001

AND WHEREAS such rules shall not come into force until confirmed by Order of the Privy Council:
NOW, THEREFORE, Their Lordships, having taken these rules into consideration, are hereby pleased to confirm them as set out in the Schedule to this Order.
This Order may be cited as the Professions Supplementary to Medicine (Registration Rules) (Amendment) Order of Council 2001.
SCHEDULEPROFESSIONS SUPPLEMENTARY TO MEDICINETHE REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT) RULES 2000

These rules may be cited as the Registration (Amendment) Rules 2000.

in rule 16(i), after “31st July 1967” there shall be inserted “the Paramedics Board before the 31st August 2000”; and after “30th September 1998” there shall be inserted “the Clinical Scientists Board before the 30th September 2000, the Speech & Language Therapists Board before the 30th September 2000”.

The Common Seal of the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine was hereunto affixed this twelfth day of July 2000 in the presence of:
The Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960 was extended to the professions of Clinical Scientist, Paramedic and Speech & Language Therapist by Orders made under section 10 of that Act in June 1999. As a result it is necessary to amend the Registration Rules 1962 made under that Act so as to include references to registration with the Clinical Scientists Board, Paramedics Board and Speech & Language Therapists Board established under the Act.
