Amendments to the Family Proceedings Rules 1991

12.  In rule 3.16—

(a) in paragraph (4), for “A copy of the petition”, substitute “Except in the case of a petition under rule 3.13, a copy of the petition”;

(b) for paragraph (5), substitute—

“(5) If the Attorney General has notified the court that he wishes to intervene in the proceedings, the proper officer shall send to him a copy of any answer and, in the case of a petition under rule 3.13, of the petition and every document accompanying it”; and

(c) in paragraph (7), for “necessary” substitute “desirable”, and after “does so consider” insert “and the Attorney General agrees to argue that question”.
