Paragraph 7 of regulation 10 provides that minutes should be taken of every meeting of the Service. The amendment makes it clear that the member presiding over the meeting of the Service following that in which the minutes were taken should sign the minutes.</dc:description>

<Text>These Regulations may be cited as the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Membership, Committee and Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.</Text>

<Text>The Service is established under section 11 of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/2000/43" id="c00003" Class="UnitedKingdomPublicGeneralAct" Year="2000" Number="0043">2000 (c. 43)</Citation>. The principal functions of the Service are, in respect of family proceedings in which the welfare of children is or may be in question, to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children, to give advice in any court about any application, to make provision for the children to be represented and to provide information, advice and other support for the children and their families.</Text>
